Animated Learning Lab (ALL) is the collective term for the educational development area under the Department of Research & Development at The Animation Workshop – Center for Animation and Visualization and Digital Storytelling / VIA University College.
The aim of Animated Learning Lab is to strengthen children’s and young people’s creative and artistic opportunities getting impressions and for expressing themselves, through aesthetic- and production-oriented teaching courses, and promote film and media literacy at home and abroad.
Animated Learning Lab works towards this by developing projects in collaboration with institutions, schools and visual professionals and others. Offering workshops and educational courses and tailoring workshop courses to your school, educational institution, cultural event, etc.
In Animated Learning Lab, we work within a very special world. Because in animation, anything can happen – wolves can talk, environmental disasters can be avoided by magic, and dead things can come alive. Animation comes from the Latin word animare and means to give life or to give a spirit to something – we would like to give life and spirit to teaching and educational pedagogy. With the animation pedagogy, we give children and young people the opportunity to step into a creative process – into a special world where everything is possible.
