Art-S-Cool in The Hague consists of an artist collective that develops and provides art activities.
The collective is formed by artists, designers from various disciplines. This diversity is reflected in the surprising art activities that Art-S-Cool offers.
Education
Art-S-Cool works closely with primary and secondary schools from various neighborhoods in and around the Schilderswijk, a part of The Hague, and delivers tailor-made solutions.
Students are encouraged to work with different materials and techniques themselves. They become acquainted with the art world and artists, visit a studio or view an interesting exhibition. They are taught by an artist or designer and present their works in a final exhibition.
Art programs have also been developed in collaboration with schools especially for parents to strengthen parental involvement in art education.
Spare time
The teaching studios in the Talent House offer a wide range of after-school art lessons three days a week. For example painting, clay, drawing, building and much more. They also offer a Talent Program for motivated children.
In the district
Art-S-Cool wants to meet, connect and investigate what is going on in the neighborhood and they do this, among other things, by organizing special art projects or offering art workshops on location.
Special relationships are created through conversations with the children, parents, residents and many involved organizations that care about the Schilderswijk. In collaboration with partners in the neighborhood, they develop social artistic projects such as Kunstkaravaan, Wow-Academy.
