Dětská lesní skupina (Children’s Forest Group) is a three-day program designed for young people which takes place during the summer symposiums run by the Community for Cultivation, Theory, and Art: Woods in the forest and meadow in Orlické Mountains, Czech Republic.
Children’s Forest Group addresses topics of the individual symposiums (wood and more-then-human society, interspecies communication, plant resistence, neuroplasticity, creativity, technology and memory, animal and robo ethics) using methods accessible to young people. Eating, reading, playing, relaxing together, activating senses and connecting better with themselves and surrounding is an important part of their fellowship.
In addition to the tutors, older children are an important part of the group and take care for the younger children together with tutors, creating a bridge between the two groups. The prerequisite for becoming part of the group is nothing but openness, curiosity and sensitivity to what is happening around. Daydreaming is not forbidden but encouraged and developed, it is just attempted collectively within the group.
