Futuropolis is an experimental project of a critical pedagogy run by two NGOs: NaZemi and Institute of Anxiety. Its aim is to educate a generation that will create a world that works for all, not just adapt to the current unsustainable world setup.
By searching for a new metodology, which they share with others, they are exploring how to do transformative education, that is, education that leads to transformation of individuals, collectives and society.
Their project The School of Emancipation tries out Paul Freire’s approach of critical pedagogy in the Czech educational environment and combines it with methods of systems thinking and thinking about futures or with an emphasis on the involvement of emotions, senses, art and imagination.
